Zach Welch is a basketball analyst for Pro Insight. He is responsible for covering top grassroots and college teams and events, specializing in the Northeast United States. Additionally, he spends time breaking down game film, interviewing top up-and-coming prospects, and assisting in database management.

Welch has spent the past four years amassing a diverse array of experience in basketball and sports as a whole. Most recently, he was a basketball operations assistant with ProMondo Sports, helping identify, recruit, and develop under-the-radar talent. Additionally, he served as a student manager with the Cornell University Men’s Basketball Team, assisting with analytics, video, and operations for the team. Beyond this, he has worked with NBA Summer League, Sports Aptitude, The Tatnuck Group, and Sports Info Solutions, gaining experience in event operations, scouting, intel-gathering, analytics, and video work. On top of all this, he has consulted with NBA teams for their draft intel gathering process for the past three seasons.

Welch graduated from the Cornell University ILR School in the spring of 2023, where he received a BS in Industrial Labor Relations.

Welch currently resides in Chatham, Massachusetts.
