Director of Grassroots Basketball

Houston Wilson is the director of grassroots basketball for Pro Insight, where he brings unparalleled player knowledge and scouting expertise to the company. With a sharp eye for talent from the amateur ranks to the professional level, he is highly active across all AAU circuits, working to evaluate and analyze the nation’s top prospects.
With nearly a decade of experience in player evaluation, scouting, and grassroots basketball operations, Houston has built strong relationships with players, coaches, and programs nationwide. Since graduating from Hampden-Sydney College in 2016, he has been fully immersed in the basketball space, launching his own scouting service that same year to provide in-depth analysis and prospect evaluations for college programs.
Since 2022, Houston has served as the recruiting and scouting director for CP3 Camps, where he continues to identify and evaluate elite young talent. He also remains an active contributor to Rivals.com, providing prospect insights across multiple team sites.
Previously, Houston worked as a national scout for Coast 2 Coast Preps and served as the National Event Director for Prep Hoops Next. He also contributed to Prep Hoops Maryland and Virginia, further expanding his impact in grassroots basketball coverage.
Beyond scouting, Houston is a co-founder of the Maryland Private School State Basketball Tournament, an event that has quickly become a key fixture in the regional basketball scene. With a deep understanding of the grassroots landscape, he remains committed to helping players gain exposure and delivering high-level analysis to teams and media outlets.
Houston currently resides in Arlington, VA, just outside Washington, D.C.
