David Hendren joined the Pro Insight team in 2022 as a contributor and was promoted to basketball analyst in November 2023. He works closely with the video department on projects, in addition to his responsibilities as a regional analyst.

Hendren has an array of experience within basketball and the sports industry, including hands-on reps with scouting, video, radio, writing, and media. During his undergraduate experience at Xavier University, he served as a practice player for the women’s basketball team and completed a scouting apprenticeship with NetScouts Basketball. He also served as a communications intern within Xavier’s athletic department and was a radio intern for ESPN Louisville the summer before his senior year.

While in graduate school, he served as a video assistant for Louisville’s women’s basketball team during the 2021-22 season. He was also a contributor for the Charlotte Hornets Swarm and Sting FanSided page, writing team content and draft reports for the site.

Hendren earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Xavier University with a minor in communication studies in 2020. He also received his master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Louisville in 2022.
